Let’s have a look at how fashion changed over the years.

1920’s

This was the time when the world moved forward with the biggest war of its time. It was the time of revolution all over the world, women get the right to vote while in other parts of the world, women get the revolutionary freedom which bring change in their fashion. People had jobs, and money so the people in the UK dropped the Victorian era fashion and dive into the new fashion vibe.

1930’s

While in the 1920s the fashion trend was boyish, in contrast to the 1930s fashion was more feminine. People copied clothing, hairstyles, and makeup from the movies, So, the 1930’s decade was dedicated to Hollywood. This was the time when the world was going through the great depression but the clothing become longer, and women can be seen in long-fitted gowns as well as tailored skirts.

1940’s

As the world progressed again into a new war, fashion change was inevitable. In the US as the men were sent off for the war there was a huge women's workforce to do labor jobs at the workplaces which change their way of dressing as well. As women started doing more physical and masculine jobs, they start to wear boiler suits and cover-all to overcome their job demands.

Due to the rationing of clothes US govt forced two-piece clothing on its citizens as a result a French designer "Louis Réard" introduced the bikini which is as popular today as it was at the time of its introduction.

1950’s

This was the decade that could be remembered for its fresh, timeless as well as youthful fashion. It was the decade when many celebrities and designers were promoting their fashion choices. This was the time when feminine fashion interjected and there was a huge variety of styles for women. More colors and patterns were added to the women's styles. What made this fashion trend hit was the housewives using ultimately feminine styles, there mixing and matching with different hairstyles using colorful ribbons and hairpins.

1990’s

If we talk about the youth and teens then this is the decade which was truly matched the teen and youth vibe. The youth and 20-plus youth embraced the baggy flannels and floral prints. Other than this minimalism become the big fashion hit with slip dresses, sheer fabrics, and a palette of black, gray, and white ruling the runways. Plaid blazers become a cool collection for the youth as well. This decade was dedicated to the Y2K for its refreshing fashion choices.

2000’s

During this time feminine fashion once reach its all-time top. Women wearing halter tops, low-rise jeans, Capri pants, and denim mini-skirts. It was the time when designers and celebrities started mixing and matching the styles from earlier decades.

Workwear for the higher management was pantsuits with fashionable bets, while for the lower management, it was more casual like knee-length skirts or pants with a blouse. This was the time tracksuits became very popular among youth and adults.
